Questions

Before you pick a plan

Is there a free plan?

Yes, and it is not a trial. The free plan gives you your own public page, the live interest meter, live polls, scheduled shows and show notes, for an audience of any size — capped at three segments per show and seven days of analytics history. It does not expire and it needs no card.

Do I need a credit card to try Pro or Studio?

Yes. A paid plan opens with a free trial, and we collect a card before it starts so the plan carries on uninterrupted when the trial ends. Nothing is charged during the trial, and cancelling before it ends costs nothing.

Can I switch plans or cancel later?

Any time. Upgrading takes effect immediately and Stripe prorates the difference, so you only pay for the part of the period you use. Downgrades and cancellations go through the Stripe billing portal, which you reach from Settings → Plan.

What happens to my work if I downgrade?

Nothing is deleted. Your branding, your overlays and your sponsor creatives stay exactly as you left them — the audience-facing parts simply switch off, and switch back on the day you upgrade again. There is no clean-up sweep and nothing to rebuild.

Can I build overlays and sponsor spots on the free plan?

Yes. Building, editing and previewing an overlay or an ad is open on every plan, because neither is something you can judge from a screenshot. What a paid plan buys is putting one in front of an audience.

Do you take a percentage of my sponsorship revenue?

No. Sponsor placements are yours and HeatCheck takes nothing from them. The subscription is the whole price, whatever your show earns.

Does my audience need an account to vote?

No. Voting is anonymous and needs no account, no app and no plugin — a listener opens your link and moves a slider. A free listener account is only asked for by the features that keep a record between shows, like roll call and listener suggestions, and that takes one tap with Google.

Is there a limit on how many listeners can join?

No. The plans cap two things — segments per show and how far back your analytics reach — and nothing else. A show with ten listeners and a show with ten thousand cost the same.

Which platforms does it work with?

Any of them. HeatCheck runs on its own page alongside whatever you already stream to, so it works with YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Streamyard, a podcast recording or a room with no stream at all. On a paid plan you can also put the meter, roll call and polls on the broadcast itself as an OBS, Streamlabs or Streamyard overlay.

Should I pay monthly or yearly?

Whichever suits you — the plans are identical either way. Yearly is billed once and works out cheaper per month; the exact saving is shown on the monthly/yearly toggle above, because it is calculated from the live prices rather than written into the copy.

Still deciding? The guide walks through every feature in detail, and the home page lets you try most of them without an account.
