Put the sponsor on the page your audience already has open

A spoken URL asks listeners to remember and type it later. A card on the page they already have open turns the same call to action into a tap.

In short

What this gets you

  • Add a sponsor card to your public listener page with a graphic, your copy and a link button.

  • Choose from three sizes: a full spotlight card under the gauge, a compact banner strip, or a single credit line near the footer.

  • Active sponsors rotate automatically. Every listener sees the same sponsor at the same moment, keeping the on-air read aligned with the screen.

  • Activation works at the account level, so you can put a sponsor on air mid-show with one action and no per-show setup.

  • Every click is counted, giving sponsor reports a direct figure instead of an estimated impression number.

  • Sponsor links must use https. The link is checked when you save the ad and again when it is served on the public page.

How it actually works

Sponsor placements

A live sponsor read often ends with a spoken URL and a discount code. Listeners must remember two strings, then type them later. Most do not. The sponsor sees only the traffic that arrived, treats the read as an underperformer, and the rate you can charge next time reflects it.

Your audience already has the listener page open. Add the sponsor’s graphic, your words and a button that goes to the right place, and the call to action becomes a tap instead of a memory test.

Choose the right level of prominence

  • Spotlight. A full card under the interest gauge with a graphic, copy and a button. Use it while reading the ad.
  • Banner. A compact strip with a thumbnail, one line and an inline link. It can stay visible for a whole show without taking over the page.
  • Byline. A single credit line near the footer for a season-long partner who is not the subject of tonight’s read. It stays present without competing for attention.

Change the placement on the spot. A sponsor can remain in the byline for most of the show, then move to the spotlight for the ninety seconds you spend talking about them. The live page follows that change without rebuilding the sponsor or restarting the show.

Keep rotation synchronized

When more than one sponsor is active, placements rotate automatically on a timer you set. Rotation follows the wall clock rather than each listener’s session, so everybody in the room sees the same sponsor at the same second.

You can reference the placement on air with confidence. “The card on your screen right now” is true for everyone or true for nobody; the rotation never drifts from one listener to another.

Use longer intervals during a read

A timer that gives three sponsors fair exposure across a two-hour show can still move too quickly during a live read. Longer intervals are usually the better default; move the specific sponsor into the spotlight for the read itself.

Activate sponsors once

Sponsors are activated at the account level, not per show. A live show rotates through whatever is active right now, so adding a sponsor mid-show takes one switch instead of an edit to the running show.

An active sponsor stays on for next week without being added again. When a sponsorship ends, one switch stops it everywhere. There is no per-show sponsor list to maintain; the same account-level set supplies every live show.

Measure clicks without identifying listeners

Every placement click is counted. Unlike an impression estimate, it represents a person who saw the card during your show and chose to act. That direct figure gives a sponsor renewal conversation firmer ground and belongs in the report alongside the placement.

Clicks are anonymous: the event records the ad, the show and the time, with no listener identity attached. You can see totals per sponsor and per show. The Studio plan’s sponsor analytics adds the time-boxed reporting needed for a quarterly summary.

Sponsor links must use https. The value is checked when you save the ad and again when it is served, because it becomes a real link on a public page your audience trusts.

Build and preview on any plan

Like stream overlays, sponsor placements can be created, edited and previewed on any plan. Running one in front of an audience requires Pro. You can judge the actual card instead of a screenshot before the gate applies at the switch that puts it on air. Preview all three sizes with the real graphic, copy and button before activating it.

Pro covers two active sponsors at once, suitable for a headline partner and a smaller one. Studio removes the limit for a full sponsor roster.

Getting started

How it works

  1. 1

    Create and preview the card

Add the sponsor’s graphic, your copy and an https link for the button. Preview the spotlight under the gauge, the banner and the byline on any plan.

  2. 2

    Activate it once

The account-level switch applies to the show running now and every show after. When more than one sponsor is active, they rotate on a timer you set.

  3. 3

    Use the click count

Every click is counted against the sponsor and show, giving renewal conversations a direct number instead of an estimated impression figure.

Questions

Common questions

What does a sponsor placement look like?

It is a card on your public listener page with the sponsor’s graphic, your copy and a link button. Choose a full spotlight card under the gauge, a compact banner strip, or a single credit line near the footer.

Do all my listeners see the same sponsor at the same time?

Yes. Rotation follows the clock rather than each listener’s session, so everybody in the room sees the same sponsor in the same second. You can accurately say "the card on your screen right now" on air.

Can I add a sponsor in the middle of a show?

Yes. Sponsors are activated at the account level, so a live show rotates through whatever is active at that moment. One switch puts the sponsor on air, and it stays active for future shows without being added again.

What gets tracked when someone clicks?

The ad, the show and the time, with no listener identity attached. Clicks are anonymous, like votes. Totals are available per sponsor and per show for sponsor reporting.

Can I use a plain http link?

No. Sponsor links must use https. The value is checked when the ad is saved and again when it is served because it becomes a real link on the public page.

How many sponsors can I run at once?

Pro covers two active sponsors at a time, suitable for a headline partner and a smaller one. Studio removes the limit. Building and previewing work on any plan; putting a card in front of an audience requires Pro.
