Make your audience page feel like your show

Unlike a checkout screen someone sees for eight seconds, listeners may keep your audience page open for two hours, often on a phone nearby. For an audio-only programme, it may be the only visual they see. Giving that page your logo and palette makes it part of the show rather than a separate piece of software. Leaving it in somebody else’s violet is a visible reminder that the page came from another product.

HeatCheck separates branding into logo and color controls. They apply to the same audience surfaces, but belong to different plans and can be configured independently. This lets a host add clear show identity with a logo before deciding whether the whole interface should take on a custom palette.

Logo on Starter, colors on Pro

• Logo — on Starter and above. Upload your show’s mark. It can appear on your public page and as a station ident widget on stream overlays. Two switches control those placements separately, so you can use either surface or both.
• Colors — on Pro and above. Choose an accent and an interest gauge color ramp independently.

The accent carries your color across the public page. It brings the aurora behind the meter, primary buttons, poll controls, suggestions board and roll call into one palette. The logo identifies the show; the accent makes the surrounding experience feel consistent with it. The result no longer reads as a default HeatCheck page with a logo added on top; your color continues through the parts listeners use.

Keep the gauge readable

Color along the interest gauge runs from cold to hot. That ramp carries information: a listener can estimate the reading before seeing the number. Applying one accent across the full arc would make a green brand, for example, look green at every value and remove that quick visual signal. Separating the controls keeps your brand color present without flattening the scale listeners use to read the room.

Choose the ramp separately from six presets: Electric, Sunset, Ocean, Aurora, Flame and Slate. You can also set two endpoints and let HeatCheck interpolate the intermediate stops. Most hosts choose a ramp related to their accent without making the two identical. The page can therefore feel cohesive while the low and high ends of the gauge remain visibly distinct.

One setup for page and broadcast

The same branding applies to the public listener page and stream overlays. Configure it once, and the version used by participating listeners matches the version shown to everyone watching the broadcast. There is no second overlay palette to maintain, so changing the show’s identity does not leave one audience surface behind the other.

The QR code on a join widget is the exception. It stays dark on white regardless of your palette because inverted codes fail on a real share of phone cameras. Reliable scanning takes priority over matching the surrounding theme.

Saved through switches and plan changes

Both branding switches are reversible and preserve your settings. Turning branding off restores HeatCheck’s defaults on the public page while keeping your palette ready to switch back on later, unchanged. The switch changes what the audience sees; it does not rewrite the palette stored in Settings.

Plan changes work the same way. Saved colors remain visible in Settings on every plan. A lapsed subscription hides the branding from your audience without deleting it. You can also clear an accent back to the default on any plan, so a saved custom color never becomes permanent. Resubscribing can restore the setup exactly as it was, without rebuilding the accent or gauge ramp.

Logos are included with Starter, while colors are included with Pro. A logo gives the listener page a clear show identity. Adding the accent extends that identity through the controls and surrounding interface.
