Let listeners choose what the show covers next

Ask “what should we cover next week?” in chat and the fastest replies tend to win. Ask on social later and the people answering may not be the audience that heard the show. A suggestions board collects the question where it matters: from listeners who are in the room while you are live. Their ideas stay connected to the conversation that prompted them, instead of being reconstructed after the audience has moved on.

Listeners submit ideas, upvote each other’s, and produce a ranked list without asking you to sort it. The top of the board shows which suggestion has the strongest support, while you keep the final decision about what goes on air. Everyone sees the same order, and that ranking changes as support arrives during the show.

Keep the board short and ranked

Each suggestion can be up to 120 characters, or about one clear sentence. That keeps the board scannable between segments while you are presenting. It also keeps each idea short enough to read aloud without stopping to edit it into something the rest of the room can follow.

• One live suggestion per listener. To pitch something else, a listener withdraws their current idea and posts a new one.
• Up to 50 per show. The limit leaves room for a large audience while keeping the board practical to scan.
• Upvotes set the order. The most-supported idea rises to the top, so you can read the strongest response first.

Promote an idea to a segment

Promote any suggestion directly into a segment. The room submits and ranks the ideas; you choose the one to use. Thirty seconds later, that suggestion can be the segment listeners are rating on the interest meter. Promotion does not require copying the text into a separate planner; the existing idea becomes the segment in one click.

Remove any suggestion from the dashboard, or switch the board off entirely during the show. The change reaches everyone on your page immediately without waiting for a later refresh.

Reward the ideas the room supports

Suggestions are tied into roll call, which gives participation a lasting result. Posting an idea earns 3 points. Each upvote received adds 1, up to 10 in one show, so a suggestion the room supports earns more than one that receives no response.

Upvote points go to the author, not the person clicking, and a self-upvote earns nothing. Withdrawing your own suggestion refunds the points it earned. A host removing or promoting it does not. This stops a listener from using submit, withdraw, and resubmit to generate points, while preserving the reward when an idea is selected or moderated.

Keep the points, not the board

Suggestions belong to the show where they were submitted. Like live votes, they are cleared afterwards rather than kept as durable records. The points they earned are banked permanently when the show ends, and a promoted idea remains as a segment with a score in your analytics.

Submitting and upvoting require a free listener account because the points must belong to a person rather than a browser. Voting on the interest meter still requires no account. The sign-in prompt appears only when someone tries to post or upvote.

Listener suggestions are available on the Starter plan and above, alongside roll call. Toggle either feature during a show. You can also show the top suggestions as a widget on a stream overlay so viewers who did not open your page can still see what the room is suggesting.
